Isidoro Noblía in Cerro Largo is typically reached by long-distance bus from Montevideo to Melo and then a short regional transfer by taxi or local bus. There is no practical intercity passenger rail service for this route.
Carrasco International Airport (MVD): Montevideo’s Carrasco Airport is Uruguay’s main international gateway. From MVD you can take long-distance bus services to Melo (the capital of Cerro Largo Department) - the bus trip is lengthy (6-8 hours) - and then a regional taxi or local bus to Isidoro Noblía. Domestic flights to regional airports are limited.
Artigas / Melo regional airports: Melo has a small airport (P. G. Lecocq / Capitán de) with limited or irregular commercial service; most visitors arrive by bus via Montevideo or by private car.
Train: Uruguay has very limited passenger rail services; trains are not a practical option for reaching most small towns in Cerro Largo.
