How to Get to Hannut
Hannut is a small Walloon town best reached via the Belgian rail network to Landen or Liège and a short local bus or taxi onward. Liège Airport is the closest for short hops, while Brussels offers more international connections.
Brussels Airport (BRU): Brussels Airport is the main international gateway (about 60-75 km from Hannut). From BRU take a train to Brussels Midi/Bruxelles-Midi or Brussels Central then an SNCB regional train toward Landen or Liège and change for local buses to Hannut; total travel time ~1-1.5 hours by train to Landen + local bus (overall 1.5-2.5 hours). Fares depend on route (expect €15-30 total from the airport).
Liège Airport (LGG): Liège is closer (about 25-35 km). From Liège Airport take a bus or taxi to Liège-Guillemins station (20-30 minutes) then an SNCB regional train to Landen and local bus to Hannut; total travel time about 40-70 minutes. Prices from Liège are typically lower than from Brussels (single tickets often under €15).
