The park is used primarily by children and families and forms part of the Jardín del Turia, the long park created in the former Turia riverbed. It is a civic playground rather than an historic monument.
The sculpture and play area were installed as part of urban recreational development in the late 20th century and have been maintained as a city play facility.
The park sits inside the Jardín del Turia on the western side of Valencia’s city center and is reached by footpaths through the park.
