A mountain in Hesse, Germany, that is the highest summit of the Taunus range at 878 metres above sea level. It is a well-known local landmark and recreational area for the surrounding region.
Trails and minor paths lead to the summit from several directions and the area is used for hiking, winter walking, and cycling. The summit area provides open viewpoints over the surrounding Taunus hills and, on clear days, towards the Rhine-Main plain and the skyline of Frankfurt.
