Golija is a mountain massif in southwestern Serbia, part of the Dinaric Alps, with its highest summit Jankov Kamen reaching 1,833 metres. The Golija-Studenica area is protected as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

The massif features extensive mixed forests, alpine meadows and marked hiking routes, with local viewpoints and streams. Small lakes and reservoirs on the slopes provide day-trip destinations and wildlife viewing opportunities. The area is used for pastoralism and forestry alongside nature conservation.

The mountain is a natural feature formed as part of the Dinaric ranges; local settlements historically used its slopes for grazing and timber. Protection of the area increased in the late 20th century, culminating in the biosphere reserve designation in 2001.

Golija sits in southwestern Serbia near the town of Ivanjica, occupying a transition zone between lowland valleys and higher Dinaric ridges. The terrain is rugged and forested, with roads and trails providing access from surrounding municipalities.

  • UNESCO biosphere reserve: Designated in 2001 as a UNESCO biosphere reserve protecting native forests and highland ecosystems.
  • Elevation: Highest point reaches 1,833 metres, making it one of the taller massifs in central Serbia.
