German submarine U-995 is a Type VIIC/41 U-boat built during the Second World War and preserved today as a museum ship at Laboe near Kiel in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.
The vessel’s preserved interior-including the conning tower, crew compartments and parts of the control rooms-serves as an exhibit illustrating wartime submarine design and life aboard a U-boat. The boat was launched during the war, later surrendered, served postwar in other navies and was returned to Germany for preservation.
The submarine is berthed beside the Laboe Naval Memorial on the Kiel Fjord, where visitors can tour the vessel when it is open to the public.
