Galzig

Galzig is a mountain peak and ski area in Tyrol, Austria, above the village of St. Anton am Arlberg, forming a key part of the Arlberg alpine recreation area. The summit rises to roughly 2,184 metres and is served by gondolas and lifts.

The area is used year-round - in winter it is integrated into a large lift-served ski network, and in summer it offers marked hiking routes and alpine viewpoints. The summit and nearby ridges provide panoramic views across the surrounding Tyrolean Alps and link to neighbouring ski sectors.

Lift infrastructure and resort development in the 20th century established Galzig as a primary access point for skiing and mountain recreation in the Arlberg region. The location evolved with successive lift installations to serve the growing ski tourism industry.

Galzig sits immediately above St. Anton am Arlberg in western Tyrol, in the Arlberg pass area of the Alps; the summit and lift stations are directly accessible from the resort village.
