Funkturm Berlin

Funkturm Berlin is a historic radio and exhibition tower on the Messe grounds in the Charlottenburg district of Berlin, built in the 1920s. At about 150 metres tall it has been a city landmark and a focal point of the exhibition area since its construction.

The tower includes an observation platform and a restaurant at intermediate height, both historically open to visitors for city views and dining. The lattice-tower design made it a symbolic broadcasting structure and an orienting point for fairs and events held at the Messe.

Originally erected to serve broadcasting and trade-fair functions, the tower has retained its role as a visitor attraction and visual landmark as the surrounding exhibition complex evolved through the 20th century. It remains adjacent to major exhibition halls and transport links in western Berlin.

The Funkturm stands within the Messe area of Charlottenburg, in western Berlin, close to major road and rail connections that serve the exhibition centre.
