The park is reached from Denham (Shark Bay), about 30-40 minutes’ drive from the town to various entry points, including Cape Peron. Most visitors drive from Denham along sealed and unsealed roads-4x4 recommended for some tracks. Bookings for guided tours depart Denham.

- Hire a 4x4 or join a guided tour-the park's tracks are rough and much of the best scenery is off the main road.
- Visit Cape Peron for dramatic red cliffs and turquoise water contrasts; watch for dugongs in the shallows.
- Bring snorkeling gear to explore the sandy shallows, but check tide charts-some spots are only safely accessible at low tide.
