Fort-la-Latte is a medieval coastal fortress on a rocky promontory in Brittany, France, near the village of Plévenon and Cap Fréhel. Originally called Château de la Roche Goyon, it dates to the Middle Ages and is noted for its defensive position projecting into the English Channel.
The castle includes curtain walls, a drawbridge approach and a keep, and it has been maintained as a historic monument and open-air visitor site. Its coastal setting and well-preserved structures make it a frequent location for cultural tourism and film shoots.
Fort-la-Latte sits on a granite headland on the Côtes-d’Armor coast of Brittany, with direct exposure to the Channel and close to other coastal landmarks such as Cap Fréhel.
