How to Get to Fitzroy Island National Park #
Fitzroy Island National Park is reached by regular ferries and charter boats from Cairns. Public ferries depart from the Cairns reef/ferry terminal (Reef Fleet Terminal/Cairns Marina) and take about 45 minutes to reach Fitzroy’s Welcome Bay; helicopter transfers and private boats are also available. The ferry lands at the main jetty and the visitor facilities and walking tracks are a short walk from the wharf.
