Fellhorn

The Fellhorn is a mountain in the Allgäu Alps on the Germany-Austria border in Bavaria, noted for its alpine meadows and outdoor recreation. Its summit rises to roughly 2,038 metres and it forms a visible high point above nearby valley towns.

The area includes developed ski terrain and lift access that serve winter sports, plus marked hiking trails and high-alpine pastures used in summer. Many visitors ride the cable cars or use marked routes to reach viewpoints and to walk the ridgelines that connect to neighbouring peaks.

The mountain was developed as a recreational area in the 20th century with lift infrastructure and resort facilities; its character today combines natural alpine habitat with managed ski and hiking amenities. Infrastructure focuses on seasonal tourism while protecting large areas of alpine pasture.
