A small uninhabited Aegean islet, Falkonera hosts a lighthouse and rough surrounding seas. Sailors and birdwatchers pass by on boat routes; landing is difficult and infrequent.
Falkonera is a small, uninhabited Greek islet in the Aegean Sea administered as part of the Attica region. It is remote and sparsely featured compared with inhabited Greek islands.
The islet is principally of interest for its isolated coastal and marine environment; it does not offer tourist infrastructure and is visited only occasionally by private boats. Natural rocky shores and open-sea conditions make onshore visits limited.
Falkonera has no permanent population and appears on nautical charts as a navigation point rather than as a settlement. There are no known regular services or facilities on the islet.
Geographically it lies in the southern Aegean Sea among the cluster of small islets in that part of Greece and is administered from the mainland Attica authorities.
