Evros Delta National Park is a protected wetland complex at the mouth of the Evros (Maritsa) River in northeastern Greece. It is a significant coastal delta and estuarine ecosystem on the Greece-Turkey border.
The area comprises lagoons, reedbeds, salt marshes and river channels that support a rich diversity of waterfowl, waders and other wetland birds; it is a key stopover on migratory routes. Birdwatchers and naturalists visit to see large concentrations of ducks, herons, cormorants and other species from hides and viewpoints.
The delta has formed over millennia through river sedimentation and has long been recognized for its ecological importance; it is protected under national and international conservation frameworks. Management focuses on conserving habitats and supporting migratory bird populations.

The delta is reached most easily by car from Alexandroupoli (roughly a 20-30 minute drive east along the coastal road). Local tour operators in Alexandroupoli also run birdwatching trips and boat excursions into permitted areas. There is limited public transit directly into the core wetland zones; expect to walk short distances from roadside parking or arrange a guide if visiting the hides.
