Diablerets
Mountains Swiss alpine massif with glacier and ski resorts
The Diablerets massif in the Vaud Alps offers a glacier area (Glacier 3000 nearby), summer hiking and winter skiing; mountain huts and cable cars provide access to high‑alpine terrain.
Diablerets is an alpine massif and ski area in canton Vaud, Switzerland, whose highest point reaches about 3,210 metres. The massif includes a glacier plateau serviced by the Glacier 3000 cable-car system.
Alpine activities dominate: skiing and snow sports in winter and glacier walking, panoramic ridge routes and high-elevation hiking in summer. The Glacier 3000 plateau around 3,000 metres offers year-round snow, short glacier walks and viewpoints accessible by cable car from Col du Pillon and Les Diablerets village.
On lower slopes the village of Les Diablerets provides ski lifts, marked hiking trails, mountain-hut access and facilities for climbers crossing to neighboring valleys in the Bernese Alps.
The Diablerets massif has been used for alpine grazing and mountaineering for centuries and developed as a tourist and ski destination from the 19th century onward, with lift and cable-car infrastructure added in the 20th century. Glacial and alpine routes have been altered by gradual glacial retreat.
Rising above the village of Les Diablerets in western Switzerland, the massif sits in the western Bernese Alps in canton Vaud near Col du Pillon and the border with canton Valais. The nearest lift gateways are in the Les Diablerets/Col du Pillon area.
- Summit and glacier access: The highest summit in the massif is about 3,210 metres, and a glacier plateau around 3,000 metres is accessible by cable car for snow activities outside the main valley season.
- Main access point: Col du Pillon is the main mountain pass and cable-car gateway linking the valley floor to Glacier 3000 and cross-border trails into neighboring cantons.

- Les Diablerets village and ski area: The village and resort of Les Diablerets provide ski lifts, accommodation and trailheads for summer hiking and winter skiing on the massif's lower slopes.
