How to Get to De Kuip #
De Kuip (Feyenoord Stadion) is in Rotterdam-Zuid. From Rotterdam Centraal take the RET metro (lines D or E) toward Zuid and change as needed to reach the Stadion stop; from there it’s a 5-10 minute walk to the stadium. By car follow the A16 toward Rotterdam and take the Slinge/Feijenoord exit; the drive from central Rotterdam is around 4-6 km depending on your start point, with parking and event drop-off areas adjacent to Stadionweg.
Tips for Visiting De Kuip #
- Use public transport on match days - the Stadion Feyenoord stop (served on event days) and special shuttle services handle most spectators, so plan to arrive 60-90 minutes before kickoff to clear security and avoid last‑minute crowds.
- Book an official stadium tour on a non‑match morning if possible; tours typically let you visit the players' tunnel, stands and the small club museum when crowds are low.
- If you're attending a big derby, leave extra time for egress - fans funnel through a few main exits, so staying inside for 20-30 minutes after the final whistle reduces the crush and lets spectator flows calm down.
Best Time to Visit De Kuip #
Visit on non-match days for quieter tours; attend August-May if you want the full match-day atmosphere.
