Czocha Castle

Czocha Castle is a historic fortress in Lower Silesia in south-western Poland, originally built in the 13th century on a strategic site above the Kwisa River and later waters now forming Lake Leśnia. The castle complex includes towers, defensive walls and an inner courtyard reflecting medieval and later architectural phases.

The castle underwent reconstructions and additions in subsequent centuries, with visible changes from the Renaissance and Baroque periods. It has been restored and adapted for public access, housing exhibitions, guided tours and spaces used for cultural events and accommodation.

Over time the castle served military and residential functions before passing through periods of disrepair and later restoration in the 20th century. Recent decades have seen the site managed as a heritage attraction with visitor services.

Czocha Castle sits near the town of Leśna in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship of Poland, on the shore of Lake Leśnia in a wooded, hilly landscape close to the Czech border.
