Czantoria Wielka is a mountain in the Silesian Beskids on the border area between southern Poland and the Czech Republic, reaching approximately 995 metres above sea level. It is a popular local peak with maintained trails and visitor facilities.
The summit area has an observation tower and viewpoints that provide wide views over the Beskid ridges and into adjacent lowlands. A cable car links valley stations to the summit zone and is used by walkers and sightseers to access the top without a long ascent.
Historically the mountain has been used for forestry, grazing and local tourism; development of trails and lift infrastructure in the 20th century made it a common recreational destination for nearby towns. The mountain supports a mix of alpine meadows and montane woodland.
The peak lies near the Polish town of Ustroń in Silesian Voivodeship and is close to Czech border crossings; it is accessible by regional roads and hiking routes from surrounding towns.
- Elevation: The mountain's summit reaches about 995 metres above sea level, making it one of the prominent local peaks in the Silesian Beskids range.
- Seasonal activities: Marked hiking trails cross the mountain and connect to longer routes along the Beskids; winter skiing and summer walking are both common activities depending on conditions.

From the upper cable-car station a short walk brings you to the main viewpoints and summit paths.
Tips for Visiting Czantoria Wielka #
- Take the cable car from Ustroń (seasonal service) to reach Czantoria Wielka quickly and avoid the steep lower approach; the summit area fills with weekend walkers, so ride up early on Saturdays or Sundays to get quieter summit vistas.
- For a less crowded return, consider walking down on one of the marked trails to a different valley village rather than taking the cable car back-the descending trails give broader views over the Silesian Beskids that many quick visitors miss.
