Crișul Alb

Crișul Alb, meaning the White Criș, is a river in western Romania flowing through Arad County and forming part of the larger Criș (Körös) river system. It is a regional river with agricultural and local economic importance.

The river rises in the Apuseni foothills and flows generally westward through valleys and lowlands before contributing to the cross-border river network that continues into Hungary. It passes through several towns and agricultural areas in Arad County.

Over time the river has been used for irrigation and local water management; sections include engineered embankments and minor hydraulic works for flood control and land use. It is one component of the broader watershed that drains into the Pannonian Basin.

Crișul Alb lies in western Romania, with its course running through rural and small urban settlements of Arad County before joining larger rivers that continue toward the Hungarian plain.
