Coorabakh National Park is a protected reserve on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales that preserves rainforest pockets and distinctive volcanic landforms. The park conserves remnant native vegetation and scenic rocky outcrops.
The park was created to protect native forest remnants and notable volcanic features in the region and has been managed for conservation of local plants and animals. Management focuses on protecting remnant rainforest and reducing invasive species.
Situated on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, the park lies inland from the coastal towns of the region and is reached via local roads from nearby centres.
How to Get to Coorabakh National Park #
The park is reached from the Pacific Highway; best access is from the towns of Nabiac or Forster (roughly 45-75 minutes by car depending on start point). Follow local signage to Coorabakh Road and the Mt Yengo Lookout carpark. Some access roads are unsealed - a two-wheel-drive car is usually sufficient in dry conditions.
