How to Get to Conondale National Park #

Conondale is reached by road from the Bruce Highway; take the Maleny-Kenilworth Road (State Route 6) and follow signs to Conondale. The primary access points and parking are at Booloumba Creek picnic areas and the Conondale Gap day-use areas. The nearest larger town with services is Maleny (~40-60 minutes drive).

Tips for Visiting Conondale National Park #

  • Drive via the Maleny-Kenilworth Road (State Route 6) and park at the Conondale Gap day-use areas to avoid long 4WD tracks.
  • Bring binoculars for regent and pale-yellow robins - birdlife is best around dawn and dusk.
  • The Conondale Range Circuit is rough and can be muddy after rain; check QPWS alerts on the park website before setting out.
