Colbún Lake is about 100 km south of Santiago by road (roughly 1.5-2 hours depending on traffic) and 30-40 km from the regional city of Talca. Approaches are via Ruta 5 (Pan-American Highway) and then regional roads toward the village of Colbún. Private car is the most practical option; regional buses run to nearby towns with onward taxi connections.
