Coffin Bay National Park protects coastal dunes, limestone cliffs, beaches and small offshore islands on the lower Eyre Peninsula in South Australia. It lies adjacent to the township of Coffin Bay and is noted for its coastal landscapes and marine-influenced ecosystems.
The park includes long sandy beaches, coastal dunes, rock platforms and sheltered bays that are used for beach walking, kayaking, birdwatching and boating to nearby islands. Several vantage points provide wide views across the bay and out to the islands; the nearby town is known for oyster farming and seafood.
The area has long-standing maritime and coastal uses and was set aside under South Australian conservation management to protect coastal habitats and shorelines. Management has focused on conserving shoreline vegetation, dunes and island habitats while allowing low-impact recreation.
The park sits on the western side of the lower Eyre Peninsula, immediately west of the town of Coffin Bay. It faces the Great Australian Bight and is roughly 300 kilometres west of Adelaide by road.

How to Get to Coffin Bay National Park #
Coffin Bay National Park is about a 45-60 minute drive west of Port Lincoln on the Eyre Peninsula. Take the sealed Coffin Bay Road (Route B100) into town and follow signage to park entrances and beach access points. Some beaches and tracks require 4WD with appropriate permits.
