The site is served by numerous Belgrade city buses and trolleybuses that stop on Vračar and around Slavija; taxis and rideshares from the city centre or the main railway station (a few kilometres away) are a quick option.

- Go early on a weekday (right after opening) to see the interior with fewer tourists and to get clearer photographs of the huge dome and mosaics.
- Enter from the main steps on the Vračar plateau (the principal approach) and check opening hours for the crypt below the nave - the crypt contains extensive mosaics and exhibits separate from the main sanctuary and is easily missed if you only see the exterior.
