Château de Sceaux is a 17th-century château and large park in Sceaux, Hauts-de-Seine, Île-de-France, set in a major landscaped domaine originally laid out by André Le Nôtre.
The château now contains the Musée de l’Île-de-France with collections on regional art and history. The surrounding domaine features formal parterres, a Grand Canal and extensive tree-lined promenades across roughly 180 hectares of parkland.
The estate was developed in the 17th century with garden designs attributed to André Le Nôtre; the château and park have been restored and reorganised over successive centuries and the château now operates as a regional museum.
It lies in the town of Sceaux on the southern outskirts of Paris, approximately 10 km from central Paris, within the Île-de-France region.
