Château de Gien

Château de Gien is a Loire-side château in the town of Gien, Loire Valley, dating largely from the late medieval and Renaissance periods and notable for its architectural profile on the river. It houses a prominent museum focused on hunting history and traditions.

The main draw is the château’s riverfront position on the Loire and its internal museum collections, which include hunting trophies, arms and period interiors that interpret aristocratic hunting culture.
