Charcot Island is an uninhabited, largely ice‑covered island off the west side of the Antarctic Peninsula. It lies within the Bellingshausen Sea sector of Antarctica and has no permanent population.
There are no tourist facilities; visits are limited to scientific parties or specialized polar expeditions when sea and ice conditions permit. The island’s surfaces are dominated by ice and glacial features rather than exposed rock or vegetation.
