Castle Rushen is a medieval fortress in Castletown on the Isle of Man, with origins in the 12th century and considerable later medieval and post-medieval fabric surviving.

The monument comprises a strong circular keep, curtain walls and towers, with surviving internal rooms and service ranges that illustrate its use as a royal stronghold and later as a gaol. Public access allows visitors to tour the battlements and internal spaces where exhibits are displayed.

Originally constructed in the medieval period by the rulers of Mann and modified over subsequent centuries, the castle has served as a royal residence, administrative centre and prison before becoming a conserved historic site.
