Cape Higuer (Cabo Higuer) is a headland on the Basque coast of northern Spain near the mouth of the Bidasoa river, close to the France-Spain border. It marks a maritime turn in the coastline and features coastal walking and rocky shoreline.

The cape is used for short coastal walks and provides viewpoints back toward the estuary and nearby hills. A lighthouse and coastal path infrastructure serve recreational visitors and local navigation.

The headland has long been a local landmark for maritime traffic at the entrance to the Bidasoa estuary. Its features reflect a maritime and coastal-use history rather than extensive permanent development.

Geographically it lies on the northern Basque coast of Spain in Gipuzkoa province, adjacent to the border with France and near the towns of Hondarribia and Irun. The landform projects into the eastern Bay of Biscay and is backed by low coastal hills.

  • Border location: Sits at the mouth of the Bidasoa river close to the French border, giving short cross-border views toward the Basque coastline in both countries.
