How to Get to Čakovec#
Čakovec is most conveniently reached by intercity bus from Zagreb; rail services exist but buses often give more frequent and direct connections. The town is compact and easily navigated on foot or by short taxi rides.
Zagreb Franjo Tuđman Airport (ZAG): Zagreb airport is the main international entry point for Čakovec. From ZAG take a shuttle or taxi to Zagreb Bus Station (about 30-40 min, ~HRK 30-50 / €4-7) and then an intercity bus to Čakovec (journey ~1h15-1h45, fare HRK 40-70 / €5-9).
Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport (LJU): Ljubljana can be an alternative arrival point; onward travel involves cross-border buses or trains through Varaždin/Čakovec area and typically takes 2-3 hours depending on connections.
