Botin Centre

The Botín Centre (Centro Botín) is a contemporary cultural centre on the waterfront of Santander designed by architect Renzo Piano. The centre houses exhibition galleries, education facilities and public program spaces intended to support contemporary art, research and community activities.

Architectural highlights include two main building volumes connected by public walkways and terraces that frame views across the bay. The programme places emphasis on educational outreach and rotating exhibitions alongside a modest permanent presentation.

The complex was developed as a civic cultural investment and functions as a focal point for Santander’s cultural life, hosting exhibitions, workshops and events aimed at a broad public. Grounds and terraces integrate with the city’s marina and seafront promenades.

The centre is located on the waterfront of Santander in Cantabria, easily reached from the city centre and adjacent to pedestrian routes along the bay.
