Boonoo Boonoo National Park

Boonoo Boonoo National Park is a protected area in northern New South Wales, Australia, centred on a dramatic granite gorge and waterfall on the Boonoo Boonoo River. The park is known regionally for its rugged scenery and day-use picnic and walking areas.

The park’s primary highlight is the multi-tiered waterfall that plunges into a narrow granite gorge, with walk-in lookouts that provide views over the falls and river. Visitors also use riverside spots for picnics and short bushwalks along marked tracks.

The park is managed by the New South Wales National Parks and Wildlife Service and is maintained for day use, recreation and habitat protection. Facilities are basic and oriented to short visits rather than extended backcountry stays.

Boonoo Boonoo sits in inland northern New South Wales amid rolling forested country and farmland, accessed by regional roads from nearby towns in Tenterfield and the Northern Tablelands.
