How to Get to Bonifacio, Corse-du-Sud

Bonifacio at Corsica's southern tip is best reached via Figari airport or by ferry from Sardinia/nearby Corsican ports. Transfers from Figari are short; from Ajaccio or Bastia expect a longer road journey.

By Air

Figari-Sud Corse (FSC): Figari is the closest airport for Bonifacio with seasonal and year‑round flights from the French mainland and Europe. From Figari the road transfer to Bonifacio is around 30-40 minutes by taxi or shuttle; taxis cost significantly more than scheduled shuttle/bus options.

Ajaccio (AJA) / Bastia (BIA): Ajaccio and Bastia are larger Corsican airports but farther away (drives of 1.5-3 hours). From those airports you can continue by car, regional coach or a combination of rail and road depending on schedule.

By Train & Bus

Train: Corsica has no rail link to Bonifacio; the island’s rail network is limited and centered around Ajaccio-Bastia-Corte. For Bonifacio, rail is not a practical direct option.
