Berici Hills

The Berici Hills (Colli Berici) are a compact limestone hill range in the Veneto region of northern Italy, located southwest of the city of Vicenza. They form a distinct upland area rising above the surrounding plain.

The area offers a network of walking and cycling routes, wooded slopes, and small vineyards and agricultural land on lower slopes. Scattered historic villas, roadside chapels, and local country roads provide access and points of interest for day visitors.

The hills have been settled and cultivated since antiquity and contain historic rural buildings and agricultural terraces that reflect long-term human use of the upland landscape. Local stone from the hills has been used in regional construction.

The Berici Hills sit immediately southwest of Vicenza in Veneto, forming a short ridge that separates the city plain from lower valleys and countryside to the south and west.
