Benediktenwand is a mountain ridge in the Bavarian Prealps of southern Germany, with a highest point at 1,801 metres. It is a distinctive limestone crest that forms part of the foothills north of the main Alpine chain.
Hikers use a network of trails and alpine paths to reach the summit ridge and viewpoints, and the area is frequented by day walkers in summer. The ridge also features routes used for alpine scrambling and climbing at various grades.
The massif is composed of sedimentary rocks typical of the Northern Limestone Alps and has long-standing use for alpine pasture and mountain recreation. Mountain huts and local trail infrastructure support visitor access.
Geographically it sits in Bavaria, north of the higher Alps, near the town of Benediktbeuern and other Prealpine settlements.
