Belém Cultural Center

The Belém Cultural Center (Centro Cultural de Belém) is a cultural complex on the Tagus riverside in the Belém district of Lisbon, Portugal, notable for contemporary arts exhibitions and performance programming. It houses exhibition halls, performance venues and spaces for conferences and public events.

The complex permanently hosts the Berardo Collection of modern and contemporary art and stages temporary exhibitions, concerts and cultural festivals. Its facilities serve both international touring shows and local cultural activities.

The centre was developed in the late 20th century to provide a major cultural venue in western Lisbon and has since become a focal point for contemporary visual arts and performing arts in the city. The Berardo Collection was installed in the centre as a long-term loan and exhibition arrangement.

Geographically it sits in the Belém district on the north bank of the Tagus River, adjacent to other major heritage sites such as the Jerónimos Monastery and the Belém Tower, and is accessible from central Lisbon.
