Bay of Islands Coastal Park

Bay of Islands Coastal Park is a protected stretch of rugged coastline on Victoria’s south-west coast in Australia, noted for its offshore rock formations and coastal cliffs. It forms part of the coastal scenery along the region’s scenic driving routes.

The park’s highlights are its coastal rock stacks, sheltered bays and short cliff-top walking tracks that give repeated sea views and photo opportunities. Several lookout points and informal pull-offs beside the coastal road provide concentrated vantage points for viewing the shoreline and sea stacks.

The area is a coastal reserve managed to conserve shoreline and marine-edge habitats; protections focus on retaining natural coastal vegetation and preventing erosion from visitor use. Over time access has been organized around designated tracks and lookouts to concentrate visitor impact.

Geographically the park sits on Victoria’s south-western shoreline overlooking the Southern Ocean. It is located along the region’s coastal route between small coastal towns and is some distance west of Melbourne on the state’s western coastline.
