How to Get to Ballaugh

Ballaugh on the Isle of Man is easiest reached via Isle of Man Airport (Ronaldsway) or by ferry into Douglas (Isle of Man Steam Packet). From Douglas you continue by Bus Vannin or taxi north to Ballaugh; there is no rail service on the island.

By Air

Isle of Man Airport (Ronaldsway, IOM): The island’s main airport is Ronaldsway, about 20-30 minutes south of Douglas. From Ronaldsway you can take a Bus Vannin service into Douglas (roughly 25-35 minutes) and then change for a local bus toward Ramsey/Ballaugh; expect the shuttle+buses to take about 1-1.5 hours in total. Taxis run from the airport direct to Ballaugh in around 35-45 minutes and typically cost in the region of £30-£50 depending on time of day and luggage.

By Train & Bus

Train: There are no passenger rail services on the Isle of Man.

Bus & Ferry: Bus Vannin operates islandwide services and serves routes between Douglas and Ramsey that stop at or near Ballaugh; a single fare for cross-island journeys is typically a few pounds (short hops cheaper, longer trips £2-£5) and Douglas-Ballaugh runs about 35-50 minutes depending on routing.
