How to Get to Ballasalla
Ballasalla (Malew) lies immediately south of Ronaldsway Airport on the Isle of Man and is straightforward to reach from the island's single airport. The village is served by local buses and the heritage Isle of Man Steam Railway (seasonal) and is small enough to reach on foot from the airport.
Isle of Man Airport / Ronaldsway (IOM): Ronaldsway is the island’s airport and is very close to Ballasalla - a taxi ride or even a brisk walk will get you into the village in around 5-15 minutes. Taxi fares from the airport to Ballasalla are typically small (around £5-£10).
Nearby UK airports (for international arrivals): Visitors from outside the Isle of Man usually fly via UK airports (e.g. Manchester, Liverpool) with connecting flights to Ronaldsway. From those airports you fly into Ronaldsway and then continue to Ballasalla as above.
Train: The Isle of Man has heritage railways rather than a national rail network; Ballasalla is on the Isle of Man Steam Railway line (Douglas-Port Erin) with Ballasalla station providing seasonal/heritage services.
