Asturias Gold Museum

Asturias Gold Museum is a regional museum in Navelgas, in the municipality of Tineo in Asturias, Spain, dedicated to the geology, history and local traditions of gold in the area. It interprets both historical and contemporary aspects of gold extraction and cultural uses of gold in the region.

The museum presents displays on local gold-bearing geology, mining and panning techniques, and material culture related to gold. Exhibits combine geological samples, tools and interpretive panels that explain placer and vein gold occurrences and local artisanal practices. The site is often visited in conjunction with outdoor demonstrations and the village’s gold-panning events.
