Antimilos
Island Small volcanic Greek island, mostly uninhabited
A small volcanic islet in the South Aegean, Antimilos lies northwest of Milos; private boats call for shore landings, and visitors find raw volcanic terrain and quiet coves.
Antimilos is a small, uninhabited volcanic island in the Cyclades group of the Aegean Sea, administratively associated with Milos. The island is volcanic in origin and has steep shores and little or no permanent settlement.
The island’s main interest is its volcanic geology and remote, rugged landscape; it is visited only occasionally by private boats and is not served by regular passenger ferry services. There are no known modern settlements or tourist facilities on the island.
Geologically the island is a volcanic cone related to the broader volcanism of the central Aegean and shares morphology with neighboring volcanic islands. Human use is minimal and the island is noted chiefly as a geographic and natural feature in the Cyclades.
Antimilos lies in the western Cyclades, off the coast of Milos in the central Aegean Sea, and is approached only by private or charter vessels.
