How to Get to Annecy
Annecy is well served by Geneva and Lyon airports and by regular TER trains to Geneva and Lyon from Gare d'Annecy. For local travel the lakeside bus network plus walking are the most practical options.
Geneva Airport (GVA): A common entry point for Annecy; Geneva is about 45-60 minutes by road. You can travel by bus or train from Geneva Cornavin to Annecy - buses are often the cheapest and take ~1-1.5 hours.
Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport (LYS): Lyon is another important gateway; trains from Lyon Part-Dieu to Annecy take around 2 hours with TER services and require a connection. Direct shuttle coaches and car transfers are also common.
