Andechs Abbey

Andechs Abbey is a Benedictine monastery and pilgrimage site on the hill known as the Holy Mountain above the village of Andechs in Bavaria, Germany. It is noted for its pilgrimage church and an on-site monastic brewery.

The complex includes a baroque pilgrimage church with richly decorated interiors and relics, public dining facilities that serve beers brewed at the monastery, and a beer garden that accommodates large visitor numbers. Terraces and paths around the hill provide panoramic views across Lake Ammersee and the surrounding countryside.
