Alpenzoo Innsbruck

Alpenzoo Innsbruck is a specialist zoo in Innsbruck, Austria, positioned on the lower slopes of the Nordkette and dedicated primarily to species native to the Alpine region.

The collection concentrates on mammals, birds and reptiles adapted to mountain environments and presents them in terraced outdoor enclosures and themed exhibits; the facility also runs conservation and educational programmes.

The zoo was established in the 20th century and remains one of Innsbruck’s visitor attractions because of its focus on Alpine biodiversity and its convenient proximity to the city centre.
