Almería Cathedral

The Cathedral of Almería, officially the Cathedral of the Incarnation (Catedral de la Encarnación), is a 16th-century cathedral in the city of Almería in Andalusia, Spain. It was constructed with both religious and defensive functions in mind.

The cathedral presents a fortress-like exterior with thick walls and battlemented forms alongside a church interior that combines Gothic and Renaissance elements. Visitors commonly view the tower silhouette from the adjacent plaza and explore the nave and side chapels within the historic city centre.
