Đakovo is well connected to regional hubs by rail and coach; Osijek and Zagreb are the main airports to use. The town's railway station sits on the Slavonian corridor with regular connections to Osijek and Zagreb.
Osijek Airport (OSI): The nearest airport to Đakovo is Osijek Airport; from there the fastest option is a taxi or prebooked transfer to Đakovo (≈40-60 minutes). OSI has limited scheduled services, so check connections carefully and expect higher transfer costs when flights are sparse.
Zagreb Airport (ZAG): Zagreb is the main international gateway for Croatia. From Zagreb Airport take the shuttle to Zagreb Glavni Kolodvor (≈30-40 minutes) then rail or coach east toward Đakovo; total travel time by public transport is typically 2-3 hours depending on connections, or ~2 hours by car/taxi.
