Standing on the Polish-Czech border in the Karkonosze, Łabski Szczyt is a mountain peak reached by marked trails and frequented by hikers crossing toward Sněžka.
How to Get to Łabski Szczyt #
From Szklarska Poręba, take the red-marked trail toward the Karkonosze ridge; trailheads near the town center are about 10-12 km on foot. By car, drive on DW368 toward Świeradów-Zdrój and park in designated lots; expect a 3-4 km hike to reach the main ascent. Public buses serve Szklarska Poręba from Jelenia Góra; from the bus stop it is a 20-40 minute walk to the trailheads.

- Start early in the morning to catch the ridge light and avoid afternoon fog.
- Use the marked trail from Szklarska Poręba; summer trails can be muddy after rain - microspikes in shoulder seasons help.
- Bring a map: cell coverage is patchy on the higher ridges.
