Udong is part of Kampong Spœ Province, an area known for its well-preserved traditional villages and mountainous countryside. Visitors are relatively rare though there are a few resorts in outlying areas. Homestay arrangements are possible in certain areas for those in search of authentic local life.

With that in mind, there's very little to actually see and do here beyond enjoying the scenery. As Udong is close to Phnom Penh and can be visited in a single day, there's little reason to be based here for any amount of time.
