Tanjung Bidara Travel Guide

Tanjung Bidara is a pleasant town set in the state of Melaka, Malaysia, and is home to a nice beach lined with hawker stalls. There are only a handful of guest houses on the beach, which makes this area quiet and non-eventful although very beautiful.

The water at this particular beach is pretty murky but the beach itself is perfect for a leisurely stroll. The area gets busy at weekends, with local people flocking to enjoy the sandy stretch, but during the week it is deserted.

There are some nearby villages that are colorful and welcoming with some budget accommodation. The food sellers in Tanjung Bidara provide cheap meals in a relaxing location but there is little to actually do here other than wander the beach.

Travel to Tanjung Bidara - Getting There

The closest international airport is at Kuala Lumpur, which is 180kms from Tanjung Bidara. There are rail services to nearby towns as well as buses and taxis available from the airport. The only way to reach Tanjung Bidara is by navigating the back roads through rice paddies and farms. Two buses go from Melaka to the neighboring town of Masjid Tanah, where there are plenty of taxis that will take you to Tanjung Bidara.
