during the dry season between May and September.
How Long?
A day or less is enough time to explore Sayan.

Trekking through the jungle is one of the main activities here, and there are several well-marked trails. A good way to pass a few hours is to hire a guide and embark on a tour of the jungle, perhaps calling in at some of the area's pretty caves and temples and pausing for a bite to eat besides a jungle waterfall.

Sayan is located close to both the city of Denpasar and Ubud, making this a good place to visit on a day trip. Buses run regularly between the two cities, calling in at Sayan on their way past. Stop for an hour or two to see the sights and perhaps have lunch before climbing back into the bus and rattling down the long, dusty road.
